The accounting office is an administrative management tool attached to the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of the Alma Mater, whose purpose is to advise, guide and support small economic units to contribute to the solution of their accounting, financial, tax, budgetary, commercial, fiscal, project formulation and evaluation, auditing and internal control procedures, as well as administrative and commercial needs. The purpose of this office is to provide free advice and consulting services to SMEs, micro-enterprises and individuals, administrative staff, teachers, students and anyone else who requires it.
Our Mission
The accounting office of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences is a social action team of the University of La Guajira, whose mission is to develop cooperation activities for the solution of basic needs through consulting in the areas of accounting and finance, costs and budgets, taxation, control and auditing and projects; for SMEs, micro-enterprises, employees, graduates and student entrepreneurs, with a group of teachers and the interaction of students enrolled in the accounting office, forming a team that with research, commitment and social responsibility are projected in the community and improve their professional skills.

The Accounting Laboratory of the School of Economics and Administrative Sciences has a vision for 2021 to cover 100% of the business population in the orientation of cooperation activities for the solution of basic needs through consulting in the areas of accounting and finance, costs and budgets, taxation, control and auditing and projects; for SMEs, microenterprises, employees, graduates and student entrepreneurs.

Objectives of the accounting consulting
General Objective
To participate in the administrative and financial management of small and medium-sized companies, micro-enterprises and individuals or institutions with needs in accounting, legal, tax, cost and control issues, through free consulting services, achieving significant contributions to the growth of organizations, thus fulfilling the social responsibility associated with the accounting professional.
Specific objective:
- To provide consultancy in tax, customs and exchange matters, thus reaching natural and legal persons and all those who require it, satisfying their needs through the accounting office.
- To generate possibilities of application from the academic environment to the business in the functions of auditing and control from the development of knowledge in these functions, strengthened by the support of the professors and our constant research.
- To develop a committee focused on strengthening commercial and labor knowledge, which will support the different users of the Accounting Office of Uniguajira for the development of business activities, always seeking constant interaction with those who use our services.
- To generate spaces for interaction with graduates, students, companies and teachers, to stimulate research and development of knowledge in the accounting and administrative area, and to generate qualitative and quantitative support to the Colombian business sector.

The accounting office of the faculty of economic and administrative sciences of the University of La Guajira focuses its importance on supporting free of charge and in various topics of consultation to all members of the community with the voluntary support of students with the sole purpose of helping and enriching their knowledge, from the above seeks to support all members of the community such as:

- Teachers, officers, administrative staff and employees of the University of La Guajira.
