The Interinstitutional Program for the Strengthening of Research and Postgraduate Studies of the Pacific (Delfin) and the University of La Guajira selected 36 students from the Alma Mater for research internships in national and international universities, 25 of them with partial scholarships to travel to the destination university.
The students chosen belong to 11 academic programs attached to the faculties of Engineering, Social and Human Sciences and Economic and Administrative Sciences of the Riohacha, Fonseca and Villanueva campuses. It was confirmed that the mobilities will be carried out in higher education institutions in Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru and Colombia and that it is the first time that a graduate student of the Alma Mater accesses this scholarship, this time for the Master's Degree in Integrated Management of Climate Change.

It was learned that the beneficiaries will carry out their internships for seven consecutive weeks and during this time they will be able to work on a research project with a tutor from the assigned university. This will allow them to contribute to activities led by the ORI to motivate other young people through their experience.
Pedro Estrada Salas, eighth semester student of the Law program and who will be at the Universidad Iberoamericana Mexico City, said he is very grateful for the opportunity because he will be able to know, learn and represent the institution with the application of the knowledge acquired at the Alma Mater.
It is pertinent to remember that the Dolphin Program aims to consolidate the culture of collaboration between Higher Education Institutions and Research Centers, through the mobility of professors-researchers, students and the dissemination of scientific and technological products. Likewise, at the University of La Guajira, this scholarship program is articulated to the Internationalization Policy, which seeks to enhance the exchange of knowledge and relationship of the academic community with its peers globally.
