Conflicts of Interest at the University of La Guajira” refers to situations in which the personal, financial or other interests of members of the university community, including faculty, administrative staff and management, may conflict with the interests of the academic institution. These conflicts may arise in a variety of contexts, such as decision-making, management of financial resources, selection of suppliers, participation in research projects, and other university-related activities.

The University of La Guajira recognizes the importance of transparently and ethically managing conflicts of interest to ensure that the decisions and actions of its members are taken for the benefit of the institution and its academic community as a whole. Specific policies and procedures are established to identify, disclose and address potential or existing conflicts of interest. In addition, education and awareness of this issue is fostered among all members of the university community to promote a culture of integrity and accountability in the management of the institution.
