Presentation of the Quality Management Department 

The Directorate of Quality Management under the standardization of processes, monitoring, control and verification of compliance of requirements within the processes that comprise it, is responsible for managing the Integrated Quality Management System of the University of La Guajira SIG, certified under international quality standards.

Our mission at the Quality Management Directorate of the University of La Guajira is a promise of excellence in higher education. We work tirelessly to build policies, objectives and strategic plans that guide our institution towards higher levels of quality. We ensure compliance with our quality policy, maintaining our quality certification and leading internal audits focused on ISO standards that support our policy.

  • Build the policy, objectives and strategic plans of the Integrated Management System.
  • Ensure compliance with the quality policy of the GIS of the University of La Guajira.
  • Maintain quality certification by sustaining and strengthening the SIG.
  • Coordinate the documentation, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System of the University of La Guajira.
  • Maintain the Integrated Management System, through compliance with the minimum requirements of the systems adopted by the institution.
  • Lead internal audits focused on the ISO standard appropriate to the institution's quality policy.
  • Follow up on improvement plans resulting from self-evaluation, renewal, accreditation and internal or external quality audits.
  • Present improvement and permanent updating projects to senior management to strengthen the SIG.
