The history of the Entrepreneurship Center of the University of La Guajira is a testimony of the institution's commitment to the promotion of the entrepreneurial culture in Colombia. Its evolution is highlighted through a series of significant milestones.

By which agreement 010 of 2019 is amended and the Degree Modalities at the University of La Guajira are established.

Agreement 010 of 2019

By which the Modalities of Degree at the University of La Guajira are established. The purpose of this agreement is to modify the degree modalities, organizing the particularities of each one of them, the requirements and procedures demanded for their elaboration, presentation and evaluation, with the purpose of opting for the title of technical-professional, technologist or professional in the undergraduate academic programs of the University of La Guajira and integrating the business plan proposal as a degree modality.

Agreement 004 of 2016

In 2016, based on the Institutional Accreditation Policy and certification of administrative processes contained in the rector's management program, it was essential to structure an Institutional Modernization Plan, which contemplated an administrative reorganization, in order to modernize management. Therefore, the Superior Council of the University of La Guajira in session held on April 12, 2016 welcomes the reorganization policy, to create the Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Development of the University of La Guajira by virtue of the merger previously mentioned through agreement 004 of 2016.

Agreement 007 of 2012

By which the creation of the Entrepreneurship Unit was approved by the Superior Council, in compliance with the norms and laws established for the promotion of the culture of entrepreneurship in all educational establishments in the country.

Act No. 013 of 2005

The Academic Council, through Act No. 013 of 2005, approved the presentation of the project for the creation of the Entrepreneurship Unit. In 2006, a strategy for the promotion of the culture of entrepreneurship was created in the country with Law 1014 of 2006.
