The Press and Communications Office of the University of La Guajira is the area in charge of designing and implementing internal and external communication policies and strategies that allow institutional strengthening through the timely dissemination of information, assertive interaction with the public of interest and the appropriate use of communication channels, framed within the guidelines established by the university.

- Image and protocol office: It is the area in charge of managing, structuring and projecting the institutional image internally and externally of the University of La Guajira, in addition to supporting the organization, coordination and assembly of events carried out by the academic areas and units of the Alma Mater.
- Institutional Broadcaster: Institutional communication media for the production of radio contents related to academic promotion and the dissemination of institutional activities and achievements focused on administrative management, teaching, research and social projection.
